The verified library of Kurdish fonts
FontKurd brings Kurdish type back into one place — checked, licensed, and free to use. It's the verified library the Kurdish web has been missing.
Why FontKurd exists
Kurdish fonts are scattered. They live across dozens of sites, re-uploaded and renamed, often with no designer credited and no licence attached.
That makes good type hard to find and risky to use. You rarely know who made a font, whether it truly covers Kurdish, or whether you're allowed to use it at all.
FontKurd fixes that. One library, every font checked, and nothing published until we know where it came from.
Verified language support
Every font here is machine-tested — with shaperglot and our own checks — for the languages it claims to support: Kurdish, Kurmanji, Arabic, Persian, Turkish, and English.
The Kurdish badge is a single label. It covers Kurdish in the Arabic script as it's written from region to region — not split into separate languages.
A badge only appears when the test passes. If a check can't run, there's no badge — never a guess.
Because it's tested, language support is a real search filter. Ask for fonts verified for Kurdish, and every result has passed.
Licences you can trust
A licence is only useful if you can trust it. So provenance is the line we won't cross: if we can't establish where a font came from and how it may be used, it is never published.
Every published font carries a clear licence status. Open-licensed originals are served exactly as their designers released them — unmodified, with their licence intact.
This is the work that's easy to skip. We think it's the whole point.
How it's run
FontKurd is a free archive. Browsing and downloading cost nothing, and there are no accounts to create.
Your favourites and comparisons stay on your device — nothing to sign up for, nothing tied to a profile.
It's built and maintained independently. Donations — and, later, modest ads — keep it online and growing.
Come in and look around
Start with the library — filter by the language you need, test any font with your own words, and download what fits.
